Following a tough overtime win on Sunday against the struggling Washington Redskins, the New Orleans Saints remain the only undefeated team this season from the NFL’s National Football Conference (NFC).

With its perfect season of twelve wins to no losses still alive, the Saints have rocketed to the top of the pile as favourite to make it to February’s Super Bowl XLIV in Miami as NFC Champion.

The Louisiana franchise has already clinched its division and is listed at odds of 8/11 by BetFred.com to make its first-ever appearance in the Super Bowl come 2010. Slightly longer, WilliamHill.com has the Saints at 10/11 to win the NFC while SkyBet.com, Bet365.com, PaddyPower.com, StanJames.com and Ladbrokes.com show Evens.

Disappointing for any other NFC franchise, BetDaq.com is offering New Orleans at 109/100 to emerge from January as Conference champions while BoyleSports.com, ToteSport.com and Betfair.com show 11/10.

Other teams in with a good chance of representing the NFC in the Super Bowl include a pair that matched up on Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals. Despite losing by 30 points to 17 away from home, the Vikings are listed at odds of 147/50 by Betfair.com to make it to the big show next year while BetDaq.com is offering 57/20. This setback was only Minnesota’s second loss of the season and Ladbrokes.com and ToteSport.com have the Minneapolis-based team at 3/1 to win the NFC while SkyBet.com and WilliamHill.com are offering 10/3.

The Vikings are led by veteran quarterback and former Super Bowl winner Brett Favre and bettors can get odds of 7/2 on the team making the final from PaddyPower.com, Bet365.com, StanJames.com, BoyleSports.com and BetFred.com.

The defending NFC Champion Arizona Cardinals have racked up eight wins and four losses so far this season and are being offered at odds of 11/2 by SkyBet.com to make its second Super Bowl appearance come February. Punters can get odds of 6/1 from BoyleSports.com, Bet365.com, StanJames.com, PaddyPower.com, Ladbrokes.com and WilliamHill.com on Arizona winning the NFC while BetFred.com and ToteSport.com show 13/2.

The Glendale-based team would surely like to make up for last season’s defeat at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII and BetDaq.com is offering odds of 67/10 that it will get the chance to do just that followed by Betfair.com with 36/5.
