Premier League Betting – When Will Wayne Rooney Score for Manchester United?

When does a dry spell become a drought? Possibly when the Premier League’s player of the year has failed to score in his last 13 matches.

With Wayne Rooney having failed to convert since March for club and country bookmakers Paddy Power are betting on when the goal-starved striker will next hit the back of the net.

And it is good news for Manchester United fans with their number ten tipped to score in his very next match against Fulham in West London on Sunday.

Paddy Power offer just betting odds of 10/11 that Rooney scores versus The Cottagers on Sunday whilst it is 7/4 his next goal comes a week later against West Ham United. For Rooney’s first goal in five months to come on England duty against Bulgaria is 6/1, which would also be his first international goal since September 2009.

Rooney is at odds of 22/1 to have to wait for his next goal to come against his former club Everton whilst it is 33/1 to arrive when playing arch rivals Liverpool and 40/1 Rooney has failed to score by October 1st.

The striker is still second betting favourite to be the Premier League top scorer this season at odds of 7/1 despite 5/2 favourite Didier Drogba racing into the lead with an opening day hat-trick against West Brom last Saturday.
